We don't know the exact digital sales for Fb in japan but FB was certified gold so it sold 100k+ if I'm not mistaken

BB's singles sales are okay considering that Kpop was still irrelevant in Japan at that time. and their albums did well last year! they should release a new Japanese single and see what happens

as well as Tell Me Goodbye if i'm not mistaken. FB did so well considering that it was not even promoted as a single

Yeah and these singles were released only shortly after their official debut in Japan. I want them to release some original singles soon so we can establish their current level of popularity.. As of 2012 their album sales are on par with Kara and slightly lower than SNSD

NewGen groups like CN Blue, FT Island and Infinite sell like 40-50k of their singles now but Big Bang did the same numbers back in 2009 already shortly after their official JP debut.

Yup, FB & Tell Me Goodbye were both certified as Gold in terms of digital download by the RIAJ sometime last year. I think they got certified in the same month.

Koe Wo Kikasete also received a Gold certification in 2011, and actually, BB do pretty well digitally in comparison to other KPOP groups in Japan.

Lastly, Fantastic Baby has continued to chart on Recochoku rather consistently last year, and so far this year, outlasting pretty much all of the songs that were released by KPOP acts last year. Its enjoyed great longevity on the download site. Right now, as of the most recent update, it's currently charting at #67 on Recochoku.

Ooh I see.

No idea what numbers to expect sales wise though. Well I hope the DVD sells more than their 2011 'Love and Hope tour'

As for the Blu-ray, hmm I guess anything between 10-20k is good?

The Alive Tour in Seoul DVD sold pretty well in Japan, considering it's just the opening shows + it's in Korea. It reached almost 19k. I'm feeling pretty hopeful & confident that the DVD for the Tokyo Dome concert will sell more than Love & Hope. Especially since the concert is in Tokyo Dome - it's a more monumental event + I feel like BB has gained some more fans in Japan this year (based off the fact their previous DVDs started charting again and because of fanclub openings and whatnot), so I'm really hoping they can reach something like 80k. *crosses fingers*

As for the Blu-ray, yeah I think something like 20k would be good.

Re: Japanese Sales Thread

I'm interested in the fact that GD's solo album is charting so long even though he's not promoting. o_O I thought Jaejoong would surely overtake him this week, but it doesn't seem like that'll be happening since he had quite a drop in album sales + GD's album is still charting.
